the Student Relay Ultramarathon

Our protest began with silence.

Every Friday, at exactly 11:52 AM, we stood still for fifteen minutes — in memory of the 15 lives lost in the tragedy at the railway station in Novi Sad.
Now, sadly, we stand for 16.

From that silence, a movement was born.

Students from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade were the first to block their school. Soon, blockades spread to universities across Serbia.

Our demands are clear:
• Accountability for the tragedy
• Transparency in the work of institutions
• An end to systemic corruption

Despite attempts at discrediting and repression, our movement grew. It brought together people who believe in justice and truth. High school students, teachers, farmers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and many others joined us.
Citizens from all over Serbia.

In the last five months, students organized the largest protests in the history of our country. Not only did the biggest cities rise — smaller towns stood up too.

We ran to many of them. Our running sparked hope in the places we passed through.
Every encounter with people who believe in freedom gave us strength.

Now we’re running to Brussels.

The European Parliament will review the situation in Serbia this May 2025.
We are running there.
We are carrying letters to European institutions.

Our intention is clear.
We are not seeking mercy — we are demanding accountability.
We are not begging for attention — we are bringing the truth.

We are running thousands of kilometers to tell our story.
We are running to show the strength of the fight for justice.
We are running because we believe in unity.
We are running so that Europe can hear what many media outlets choose to silence.
We are carrying the voices of millions of citizens.

We are running for the 16 lives lost because of corruption.

And we will not stop until the truth is heard.

We are running because the future is in our hands.
